Luau 5k Run/Walk & After Party

     Last year was our first race and we had a net profit of approximately $4,000. We hope to do at least $10,000 in 2012.  The day of the race was in April last year and the weather was brutal and there were a lot of other races to compete with. We hope by changing the date to July 21st, we will have a better chance to make the event an even bigger success since most of the smaller races are finished and runners begin to train for the fall marathons.

     Right now summer seems a long way off but it will be here before you know it. We are lookinng for the following to help make this event a success: Runners and Walkers, Sponsorships, Food and Beverage Donations, Business Partners to encourage their staff to paritcipate, volunteers day of the event, entertainment, and marketing

     Paul Heintz from the Mojo Running Store is very supportive of the event. We are looking for others to assist in any way they can; we would love to hear from you!  Many of you exercise for better health; now you can do it to help homeless families all at the same time.  What a win—win situation for us all.
